Blind Spot Nut Butters.

Let me tell you about Blind Spot Nut Butters.

I’ve been on quite the journey with finding the best nut butters, since it’s a crucial part of my nutrition and training (I mean, who doesn’t love eating almond butter by the spoon?)

When I found Blind Spot Nut Butters, I was pretty excited about their unique flavors like Cinnamon Role and Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter. But, what’s even better?

How Blind Spot Nut Butters started.

Here’s a short clip from Blind Spot Nut Butters

“In 2012, Troy was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease, a degenerative retinal condition in which he has lost most of his central vision in one eye and has several blind spots in his better eye.  It has reduced his vision to the point that he is no longer able to work. So, we decided that it was a perfect time to start a new business venture and since we are peanut butter addicts and pros at making our own blends, we decided to create our idea of perfect nut butter blends.  So, we set to work trying out recipes and making blends that we thought were unique and suited our vision for the company.

Using Blind Spot in the name is part of that vision…sometimes you need to be blinded to be able to visualize a bigger picture.  We are committed to turning the negative of Troy’s disability into a positive for our family’s future.  A portion of our profits will always be committed to funding research for retinal conditions like Troy’s and we are hopeful that one day a cure will be found.”

Sheri was sweet enough to send me some nut butters to review and she sent a genuine note with her contact information.

Meet Sheri and Troy, the founders

They have this verse on their page:
“…fix our eyes not on what is seen, but is unseen.” – 2 Corinthians 4:18

God calls us to trust him, to trust when we can’t see. Troy is living this testimony.

They use local ingredients and no artificial or extra processed sugars.

Sheri sent me a box of yumminess, including a jar of Chocolate PB Pretzel (deliciousness all in one):

They don’t just have simple peanut butter. They have other nut butters too, mixed to combine the best ingredients! Check out Squirrelly Tail: Walnuts, Cashews, Almonds, Sunflower Seeds, Flax, Pumpkin Seeds and a bit of a molasses taste.

And, what company has Sea Salt Caramel? Only Blind Side Nut Butters. Buy this flavor here.

They also have candied nuts, which are so perfect for parties and gifts. Their flavors?
Sherried Caramel Walnuts, Cocoa Espresso Pecans, and Chai Spiced Almonds.

And, you can check out their blog here (They even have recipes!)

Blind Spot Nut Butters is mainly out of PA, so you can easily order online, or check out their “Where to Buy” page.

While I would be tempted to try every single flavor at once, I will be patient! However, I just tried the Cinnamon Role flavor. Delicious. Fresh. Absolutely wonderful.

But, investing in Blind Spot Nut Butters won’t result in just heavenliness in your mouth, but also contributing to researching retinal conditions, like Troy’s. Their nut butters are made with love, with time, and with purpose.

I will be buying Blind Spot Nut Butters, all the way from PA. They are worth it!

Stay tuned for some pictures of deliciousness as I try the different flavors on my instagram: @LoLoveRun.
